1)India and Pakistan agreed to undertake the Indus Waters Treaty tours in the Indus basin on both sides.This agreement came after the two-day high-level bilateral talks on the Indus Waters Treaty in Lahore.
2)Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) that aims “to change the the banking system in the country”. The launch was done at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. will focus on providing banking and financial services to people in rural areas, by linking all the 1.55 lakh post office branches with India Post Payments Bank services by the end of 2018. Around 11,000 postmen both in rural and urban areas will provide doorstep banking services.
3)MOU has been signed among the shipping and railway ministries, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra governments for implementation of 90 billion Indore-Manmad rail project.
4)Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh launched PUDA 360, an e-properties module to facilitate online property transactions. It is aimed at bringing greater efficiency and transparency in the functioning of Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA).
5)India opens Zokhawthar immigration check-post in Mizoram along Myanmar border.It is the second immigration check-post in Mizoram, after Zorinpui chech post which was opened in 2017.
6)West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said that the state government has adopted a multi-sectoral strategy to reduce under-nutrition and anaemia among women and children in a targeted manner by 2020.
